On a sweltering hot and humid day, SBA’s 41st CTY Program, a student awareness initiative on environment and river conservation unfolded with energy and passion at the impressive A1 Academy, Rehabari – a campus truly worthy of its ‘A‑1’ name. From the smart display boards to the students seated thoughtfully on floor mats, the atmosphere was one of attentive enthusiasm. What truly stood out was the exceptional engagement of the students. Despite the heat, they responded eagerly to our President’s presentation on Bahini–Bharalu river system and the critical issue of plastic pollution. Recognizing the students’ keen understanding, he seamlessly moved the topic to Bahini Bharalu’s revival which captivated the audience.
A surprise but incredibly valuable addition was the presence of Sri Gituparna Sarma, a freelance journalist, who came all the way from Japorigog and ensured smooth facilitation and captured the entire session on camera, further amplifying its reach. Post-event, he even took time to personally collect insights from half a dozen students — their thoughtful feedback confirming the session’s impactful nature.
Our heartfelt thanks go out to the A1 Academy management and teaching staff — your cooperation was instrumental, the attentive students whose curiosity inspired us. SBA continues to spread its message of river conservation and environmental awareness — one vibrant group of student at a time.
